Mr Asuquo Ekpenyong-Ekpe, the older brother to Mr Ekpenyong Ita, the immediate past Director General of the Department of State Sevices (DSS) has been abducted by unknown gunmen.

How does an ambitious sixteen-year-old go from wanting the world to becoming a hooker?

I was only fourteen when I was casually browsing the web. Manchester United enter race for Kevin de Bruyne

Manchester United have entered the race to sign Wolfsburg playmaker Kevin de Bruyne after losing out to Chelsea in the battle for Pedro.

De Bruyne is reportedly on the brink of a move to Manchester City, but German website Sport 1 understand United have entered the running at the eleventh hour.
In order to prevent De Bruyne moving to the Etihad Stadium, though, United will need to act swiftly. The Belgium international has, according to the Guardian, already agreed personal terms with Manuel Pellegrini’s side ahead of a big-money move to the Premier League.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Nigeria Immigration Service has been directed by the Nigerian Government to retrieve all valid diplomatic and official passports from those who are not entitled to hold such documents.

There was pandemonium at Majidun area of Ikorodu yesterday as a Naval personnel allegedly shot 3 people, leaving them in a critical condition.

The Lagos State Government has removed the list of contracts awarded under the administration of former Governor Babatunde Fashola.

The list which was published on the website of the state’s Public Procurement Agency, www.lagosppa.gov.ng, stated that Fashola’s administration spent N78.3m on his personal website, www.tundefashola.com, in 2014.

The list further stated that Fashola spent N139m on the drilling of two boreholes at the Lagos House, Ikeja.

However,on Monday it showed that the section which listed all the contracts awarded under Fashola’s administration between 2013 and 2014 could no longer be accessed.

Actress Ini Edo was a guest on RubbingMinds yesterday where she spoke on her failed marriage to Philip Ehiagwina. When asked to address insinuations that her marriage crashed because she picked her career over family and refused to move to the US where her ex resided, Ini Edo said;

"First of all, I got married early because I wanted to have a family so anybody wouldn’t think that I would want to chose career over family in as much as my career is also very important. Basically there would never be a particular reason. You know how these things work. Its like I said, differences. I mean, incompatibility. Ekiti state chapter of APC says asides conducting road shows and buying pepper and tomatoes in open markets to pose as a friend of the poor, the state governor, Ayo Fayose has not achieved anything or concluded any project to his credit since assuming office 10 months.

Over 2,500 soldiers who were dismissed or asked to withdraw from service for refusing to fight Boko Haram and other counter-insurgency offenses have been recalled by the Nigerian army. 102 officers who were facing prosecution over their involvement or lack of involvement in the fight against Boko Haram, have also been re-instated. They were re-instated by a panel set up by the Army last week.

The soldiers and officers are now retraining at the Nigerian Army Training Centre, Kontangora, Niger State.

Jose Mourinho has been accused of 'losing the plot' during Chelsea's first Premier League win of the season against West Brom yesterday by the Sun.

The Nigerian Police have arrested 37 year old Ajiboye Oluwaseyi, for allegedly raping his two daughters a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old and his 15 year old stepdaughter in the Lekki area of Lagos state.

It was gathered that Oluwaseyi, who hails from Ondo State, was arrested on Wednesday, August 19, after his wife reported the matter to the police.

It was learnt that Oluwaseyi, who worked as a Lotto agent, had separated from his wife in December 2014.

He was said to have taken the 2 girls from his wife, leaving her with a baby (the 3rd child) and allegedly convinced his stepdaughter, Simbi (not her real name) to stay with him.

It was learnt that Simbi had allegedly been raped many times before she opened up to a neighbour, who reported the matter to the mother who went to a non-governmental organisation to report the sexual abuse of her daughter.

A Florida woman is accused of making up a lie about being kidnapped so she wouldn't have to return to her job as a night shift nursing assistant. In a news release, the Panama City Police Department said its officers and other agencies spent several hours Monday morning looking for 43-year-old Beverly F. Brooks.

Reports say a concerned co-worker noticed Brooks didn't return from a break and called her at 2:30 am to see if she needed a ride back to work. Brooks told her she was being held against her will by her boyfriend. The boyfriend could be heard in the background telling her not to get out of the car, police said.

When they found her, she was hanging out with her boyfriend, James Vincent Hill Fennell Jr., 35. She told them she'd made up the story because she didn't want to go back to work

Fayose appoints visually impaired radio presenter, Igbo and Urhobo man as board members

In order to give the physically challenged in Ekiti State a sense of belonging, Governor Fayose appointed a visually impaired radio presenter, Rotimi Bejide as a member of the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.The Governor also appointed an Ibo man, Prince Jonathan Eze Nwaberioku and an Urhobo man, Hon Francis Omorioghoye as members of the Board.
