Manchester United coaches have discussed the possibility of signing
Napoli star Gonzalo Higuain if a move for Thomas Muller proves
impossible, reports The Mail.
The Bayern Munich forward is believed to be Louis van Gaal's top
target between now and the end of the summer transfer window, but having
seen his £60m bid turned down, a deal in the next 12 days is highly
unlikely.
But having seen Wayne Rooney struggle in the No.9 role–fans already
urging him to be put back to the No10 role he flourished in last
season–Van Gaal may move onto an alternative option.
