He will be key
for the Gunners today and because he plays so much like Suarez, it is likely to be a painful reminder of how much they also lost
when the Uruguayan moved to Spain.
Wenger wasted no time last night in rubbing salt in that particular wound,
He
said: "When Suarez went to Barcelona I thought the obvious deal was for
him to go one way and Sanchez go the other way. I was quite surprised
that at the time it was possible for us (that Sanchez would sign for
Arsenal instead).
"You should ask him 'why did you not want to go to Liverpool?' "
"We missed our sharpness in the first game, but the second game we were much better," he said.
"We realised that we have to give more, but Sanchez plays to win in every single game.
"He is lightning quick and has that explosive attitude linked with his spirit. That makes him even more spectacular."
