Robin Van Persie has thanked Arsenal and Manchester United after ending his 11 year stay in the Premier League.
The Dutchman completed his move to Fenerbahce today on a three-year deal, costing the Turkish giants a reported £4.7million.
Van Persie started his Premier League career at the Gunners in 2004,
joining from Feyenoord for £2.75m and going on to win the FA Cup and the
Community Shield.
The striker controversially left eight years later in a £22.5m move to rivals United, where he finally earned a Premier League winners medal.
The 31-year-old, who has 144
Premier League goals to his name, wrote on Twitter: "After 11 great
years in the Premier League, I have taken on a new challenge at
Fenerbahce!
"Really excited to get started and get to know the beautiful city of Istanbul.
"Thank
you to all the fans, who have supported me through the years. Thank you
Arsenal and thank you Manchester United. Wish you all the best.
