Yaya Toure says he wants to stay at Manchester City until the end of his contract - and says he can play until he's 40!
It
seemed the Ivorian talisman would leave the Blues last season with his
agent Dimitri Seluk claiming his client '90 per cent certain' to quit
the club.
But when the dust settled, Toure said he was happy to stick around.
Toure said: “There was too much speculation about me leaving – it’s
clear that I have my contract at City and I want to see out my contract.
"I am happy to stay at the club. I want to get to the end of my contract."
Toure,
32, has two years remaining on his current deal and says he can see
himself extending his playing career for another eight years.
"I've always known for 32 years that I can play until 40 because I know my quality and that’s all," he added.
